PREPARATION GUIDE

  • FILE FORMAT

    FILE FORMAT

    Stereo WAV or AIF.

    No mp3 or lossy files.

  • BIT-DEPTH

    BIT-DEPTH

32-Bit Float (No Dither) is prefered.

    24-Bit (Triangle Dither) is okay.

  • SAMPLE-RATE

    SAMPLE-RATE

    44.1k Minimum.

Keep this matched to your mixing session,

    Do not upsample.

  • MASTER-BUS PLUGINS

    MASTER-BUS PLUGINS

Mixing into processing makes it part of your mix!

Mastering is ideally performed on the mix you’ve listened to while making your decisions. Feel free to provide options ‘with and without’ if unsure.

  • LIMITING & CLIPPING

    LIMITING & CLIPPING

Cautious limiting on rouge peaks is acceptable.

Reduction past a few dB can create irreversible artefacts. If you’ve limited hard, lower this as much as possible without changing your mix. Avoid clipping.

  • REFRENCES

    REFRENCES

An effortless way to explain where you’re aiming.

Artist and Track Names are perfect, with lossless streaming we can acquire the HQ versions required for auditioning. Wav or Aif files are also great, no mp3!

  • UPLOAD

    UPLOAD

Upon completion of the online order form, you’ll be re-directed to our dedicated upload page.

Sending download links e.g. DropBox and WeTransfer via email is also okay.

  • Headroom

    HEADROOM

Leaving a few dB between your highest peaks and 0dBfs is essential when sending a 24-Bit Mix.

This isn’t necessary when sending 32-Bit Float.

  • Check

    CHECKS

All mixes are carefully checked before Mastering, we’d kindly ask you to do the same.

If any issues are found or possible areas for improvement in the mix we’ll be in touch.
